Past Salons

Thus far, YWM Salons have been hosted in homes which creates a warm, intimate environment for rich conversation. To maintain the intimacy, we will always have live music and art related to the author’s subject.

Richard Hoffman was pleased with the book sales for his memoir, Love and Fury, at his YWM Salon, but shared this: “ ….I have to say that the main reason to come to the Salon as a writer is for the terrific audience and the engaging Q & A. Ours is, after all, a post-literate world. Without Salons like yours, I think I would just give up. The other day I was on a plane up near the front, first row behind first class. So I had to walk all the way to the back of the plane to use the rest room. On the way back, I always like to look and see what people are reading… they weren’t. Nobody was. They were all playing Candy Crush or some other game on their phones or on their iPads, or watching a movie. And there you have it. What a world.”

Our Spring 2015 Salon on May 3rd focused on an important subject that touches us all: Writing and Reading about Loss, featuring authors Sukey Forbes (The Angel in My Pocket) and Claire Willis (Lasting Words).
